I am an interface designer and problem solver passionate about usability and interaction design.
My focus is on designing great interfaces, developing strong information architecture to make really engaging sites and getting involved with the front end. I am a designer at heart, but the coding problems also interst me.
Work
Papkura library wanted a full site refresh that was bold, colourful and engaging - just like its people! We also designed an informative socail network that allows users to share content, reviews and profiles. Sorry, its still in developement.
Samesame.com.au wanted an update to their website look and templates. With over 1,500 unique daily browsers this highly trafficked site needed some simple changes that allowed the high level of information to be displayed simply and relevant content was easy to find. A strong grid helped define a structure for the pages and some simple typographic hierarchy help distinguish the different content sections.
Change Agent mixes traditional recruitment with online social media. Watch this space as it going to be huge!
After designing the website, stage two of our work with Prism is to start looking re-designing their applications. First up was their web based Managment Dashboard.
Prism world wanted their site to be bright, eye catching and very usable. Their existing website was hard to navigate, so the architecture of the new site was very important.
With a limited budget Hot Cycles makes the most of many free web services, including Flickr, Google Blogger and an open source CMS, Jojo CMS.
Sanders.Shiers required a fully content managed site that would allow them to regularly update and refresh the content on the site. They wanted their site to look clean, modern and fundamentally professional.
Samesame.com.au required a strong colourful brand for their online summer TV show. The logo had to work on TV idents as well as standard print and mechandise.
A few Auckland based architects are starting a blog and discussion around the state of Aucklands buildings and infrastructure.
But first a bold and simple mark was needed to start the development of their brand.
My brief was to design logo and strapline for Dunedin's newest bar. Selling only imported beers, the owners wanted an unpretentious feel that would appeal to a wide demographic.
Sam McIntosh, born in New Zealand, is a professional showjumper riding for the Bulgarian Showjumping team. She wanted a to develop a brand to help promote herself outside the showjumping world. The logo is applied to stationary, horse trucks as well a for a future range of clothing.
Before starting work on a new website, Mybeingwell needed a new brand prescence. The logo had to be simple and uncomplicated, like the products they sell. The colour gradient reflects the idea that 80% of any cosmetic that us applied to skin is absorded into the blood stream.
